This Kit Fits 1999 F250 & F350 4WD and 1999 F450 & F550 2WD & 4WD

    The full taper extra leaves are installed under the 2nd leaf of OE Full Taper Front Leaf Springs.  In order to do so, the u-bolts and center bolts are removed on on front spring at a time and the rivet is drilled out to allow removal of the existing rebound strap on the 2nd leaf of the OE spring.  The new full taper extra leaf has a riveted rebound strap already on it so reassembly involves threading a new center bolt through the extra leaf and the existing 2 leaves and installing new u-bolts.

     The effect is a 1 " to 2 " front height increase and a 750lb spring capacity increase per side. This will restore height lost due to spring sag and support front end loads such as plows, winches or other load factors much better than the original 2 leaf spring.

      After driving a short (50 mile) breaking period, a wheel alignment must be done because the change or restoration of ride height will cause a camber and toe change.  To insure drivability and tire wear the alignment step is critical.
